MISSOULA — Not nearly as widespread or intense as yesterday, however, snow showers are again in the forecast Thursday. In between snow showers expect breaks in the clouds and sunshine as temperatures remain well below average topping out in the upper 30's to low 40's.
Yet another system will keep valley rain and snow along with mountain snow in the forecast Friday. Showers will be most widespread in northwest Montana. Temperatures will be slightly warmer with highs in the low to middle 40's.
A break from the persistent rain and snow looks possible this weekend. With that being said, mountains will still see off and on light snow showers with little impacts to the roads expected. Temperatures while remaining below average will slowly be warming. Highs will top out in the middle and upper 40's Saturday and upper 40's to low 50's Sunday.
Looking at next week, showers will remain in the forecast Monday with temperatures in the low 50's. Models are then starting to give hope for some warmer weather by Wednesday with high temperatures topping out in mostly in the middle and upper 50's with even a few lower 60's possible as well. However, by the end of next week, mother nature is threatening with another round of cold air along with rain and snow. We will continue to watch this as we move forward into next week.
