MISSOULA — A sunny but cool day is ahead of us Thursday. Temperatures will start off cold, mostly in the 10's and 20's across western Montana. By the afternoon expect highs in the 40's with a few 50's in the valleys of northwest Montana.
Warmer weather and sunny skies are expected Friday as temperatures return to the middle and upper 50's.
Temperatures will be in the 50's to low 60's this weekend. A weak weather system will bring scattered valley rain and mountain snow back to the forecast Saturday. Most of the showers will develop in northwest Montana. West-central and southwest Montana will remain mostly dry with cloudy skies overhead.
The main story to start next week looks to be dry conditions and slightly above average temperatures with highs in the upper 50's to middle 60's Monday through Wednesday.
