MISSOULA — High pressure remains firmly in place over the western half of the United States leading to continued warm and sunny weather for us here in western Montana. High temperatures will remain in the 70s through at least Thursday of this week.
The high pressure ridge does look to start shifting east by around Wednesday of this week. As it does, smoke and haze looks to make a return to the region and linger through Friday.
A pattern change to cooler and wetter weather is becoming more likely this weekend. However, how much rain may fall is still uncertain. As far as temperatures go, expect 60s to low 70s Friday, 60s Saturday and upper 40s to low 50s Sunday.
