KPAX

Multi-Media Journalist

I am a Multi-Media Journalist for KPAX who is originally from Colorado, I try and bring a familiar Western perspective to my reporting to make sure it is valuable to all Montanans. I strive to bring important stories to my new community so that they have the resources to be better critical thinkers.

What is your job?

I am a Multi-Media Journalist for KPAX.

When did you start working here?

I have been here for six months.

Where else have you worked?

I have had many jobs before KPAX, most notably my time as a freelance documentary filmmaker.

Where did you go to college?

I went to the University of Colorado Boulder where I studied documentary filmmaking.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in a town tucked against the foothills of central Colorado.

What are some of the biggest news stories you have covered?

Some of the biggest stories I have covered so far have been the Missoula aquifer, U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s visit to Western Montana and city ordinance 12.60.

What is your philosophy on news?

I believe in journalism that provides nothing but the facts in order to help educate the community on what is occurring in order to provide the background needed for critical thinking.

What do you love about living here?

I love Missoula because of the strong sense of community; it seems that everyone is involved with some sort of organization that is meant to help better the city of Missoula and its community.
