MISSOULA — The first baby of the year at Community Medical Center was born on Thursday in Missoula.
Kohen, CMC's first baby of 2026, weighed 4 pounds 11 ounces when he was born to parents Mariah and Karill at 5:24 a.m. on New Year's Day.
Kohen represents five to six generations of Montana heritage.
His parents say welcoming their baby as the first birth of the year is something they'll always cherish, and they're already planning for Kohen to become a fifth-generation Montana Grizzly.
