KALISPELL – A human-caused wildfire burning northeast of Hot Springs has now been fully contained.

The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Division of Fire reports that they have achieved full containment of the blaze that’s burning about 10 miles northeast of Hot Springs.

The fire has burned just over 1,300 acres of grass and timber in steep terrain, but the official cause is still under investigation by the state fire marshal.

Fire managers report that 55 fire personnel remain on the scene continuing to perform mop-up operations.
