MISSOULA – Montanans will soon be heading to the polls to vote in the June 5th primary election.

The Missoula County Elections Office is once again making it easy to drop off your ballot at the drive-through drop-off location at the Missoula County Fairgrounds.

Voters can drive up to the window, hand in their ballot and receive an “I Voted” sticker starting on Thursday.

Missoula County Elections Administrator Dayna Causby says they’re hoping making voting as hassle-free as possible will get more people to the polls.

"Right now, as of this weekend, we only have a 27% return rate on our absentee ballots," Causby said. "So we’re hoping to get at least a 50% turn out for this entire election," Causby said.

"But if people don’t return those ballots that they’ve received in the mail, then we won’t hit that number. So we are really asking people don’t forget to vote that ballot you received in the mail," she added

There have been a few changes made to some voting locations:

  • Those who previously voted at the Clinton school will now vote at the Clinton Community Church on Clown Lane.
  • For people who vote at Hellgate Elementary, you will now vote at the Missoula Technology and Development Center on Broadway. Those voters should have received a reminder card in the mail.
