HELENA — A Helena judge has set bond at $50,000 for a man who is accused of trying to kill a woman last October.

37-year-old Troy Allen Mullin appeared in Lewis and Clark County Justice Court on the charges of attempted deliberate homicide and three counts of partner family member assault.

In court documents, prosecutors accuse Mullin of stabbing the woman in the neck and inflicting a deep cut on the head which were life-threatening.

The woman also told investigators Mullin had attacked her on previous occasions.

Mullin was arrested by Utah Highway Patrol after receiving reports of a reckless driver on I-15 near Cedar City.

He is expected to make his first appearance in District Court on Feb. 9.
