Missoula Co. reports 41st COVID-19 related death, 258 weekend cases

MISSOULA — A 41st COVID-19 related death is being reported by the Missoula City-County Health Department (MCCHD).

Additionally, MCCHD reports that a total of 258 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded since the Friday update.

The total number of cases has now risen to 4,221, including 3,002 recoveries and 41 COVID-19 related deaths.

There are currently 1,179 active cases as well as 37 active hospitalizations – including 17 county residents.

Four of the currently active cases are associated with the University of Montana.

The average of daily new cases per 100,00 in the past seven days remains unchanged at 77.

The MCCHD goal is to bring that number down to 25/100,000 people for two consecutive weeks or more.

The Missoula City-County Board of Health updated the local COVID-19 restrictions on Nov. 19.

Missoula County residents can call 406-258-INFO weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to discuss COVID-19 information.
