MISSOULA — Missoula’s Community Medical Center (CMC) and Providence Saint Patrick Hospital are awaiting the arrival of their first shipment of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.

CMC confirmed that they are expecting the first emergency use authorized vaccine sometime on Tuesday, while Providence says they will receive it, “sometime this week”.

Last week, Gov. Steve Bullock announced that the first round of vaccinations will target health care workers at Montana’s major hospitals.

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) is expected to receive an estimated first dose allocation of 9,750 vaccines which will be divided among 10 hospitals.

Second round doses will be provided to the state in a separate shipment prior to the second dose schedule, which is 21 days apart from the first.

Kalispell Regional Healthcare told MTN News they expected to receive a COVID-19 vaccine shipment on Wednesday.

It was announced on Monday that hospitals in Billings and Bozeman had received a shipment of the COVID-19 vaccine.
