Montana reports 121 schools with COVID cases

Montana health officials reported Wednesday 121 schools with COVID-19 cases, about double the amount reported the previous week.

The report, which included cases counted through Friday, showed 188 students and 90 staff members had tested positive for the virus, for a total of 488 cases associated with Montana schools.

The report showed 74 cases in elementary schools (57 students, 17 teachers), 37 in middle schools (31 students and 6 teachers) and 85 in high schools (66 students and 19 students).

In Flathead County, 18 schools have cases reported while Lake County has seen six and three Missoula County schools have seen COVID-19 cases within the last 14 days.
