Montana reports 404 confirmed COVID-19 cases

HELENA — The Montana Response COVID-19 tracking map shows there are 404 confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of Wednesday morning.

The previously reported state total on Monday was 399.

According to state statistics, 209 Montana residents have recovered from COVID-19 and there are currently 21 people hospitalized.

A total of 9,234 tests have been completed, according to the tracking map.

Gov. Steve Bullock’s orders closing public schools and requiring people to stay home -- except for essential activities -- has been extended until April 24.

The first COVID-19 related death in Flathead County was reported on Monday morning, bringing the state total to seven deaths in Montana.

There have been three deaths in Toole County, and one each in Flathead, Lincoln, Madison and Missoula counties.
