Ravalli County reporting 82 additional COVID-19 cases

HAMILTON — An additional 82 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases are being reported in the Bitterroot.

Ravalli County Public Health notes that as of Thursday the number of active cases has risen to 405 with 444 tests still awaiting laboratory review.

To date, there has been a total of 920 confirmed cases including 536 recoveries and nine deaths.

The department "continues to interview positive cases, giving isolation instructions and quarantine recommendations to household contacts. Priority at this time has been contacting positives," Ravalli County Public Health Director Tiffany Webber said in the latest update.

Residents diagnosed with COVID-19 are being urged to contact any close contacts that may have exposed.

People diagnosed with COVID-19 are asked to follow the below recommended guidelines:

  • Please isolate at home away from others in your household
  • Notify any close contacts that may have been exposed
  • Close contact instructions can be found at the Ravalli County website
  • You may return to normal activities 10 days from when symptoms began, provided symptoms have improved with no new symptoms and no fever in 24 hours.
