RONAN — Tribal Fire officials say that a pair of wildfires that were reported west of Ronan on Thursday "are suspicious in nature"
The blazes -- the Sloan's #1 Fire and the Sloan's #2 fire -- are burning in the area of Sloan’s bridge, 12 miles west of Ronan.
The CSKT Division of Fire reports the Sloan’s #1 fire is 94 acres and the Sloan’s #2 is 90 acres.
While the fires are currently under investigation, a news release states they "are suspicious in nature."
No structures are threatened at this time and no evacuations have been ordered.
There are no road closures at this time, but people are being asked to avoid the area and adhere to the signs on Little Bitterroot Road.
There are 120 personnel between the two fires.
Anyone who observes fires being set or abandoning campfires is asked to contact local law enforcement.
