HAMILTON — Recent cooler and wetter weather has prompted the Bitterroot National Forest to lower the fire danger level from high to moderate on Monday, June 23.
Forest officials note that when the fire danger is moderate, fires can start from lightning or humans, but the number of starts is generally low.
