KALISPELL — Flathead county authorities say an older man died while paddleboarding on McGregor Lake west of Kalispell on Tuesday afternoon.
Flathead County Sheriff Brian Heino tells MTN News that the accident happened in the Boisvert area of the lake between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Sheriff Heino says the male fell off the paddleboard and did not resurface. His body was later recovered.
The Flathead County Dive Team, Flathead County Search and Rescue, Smith Valley Fire, and the Marion Fire Department all responded to the scene.
The man’s identity has not yet been released pending notification of family.
