MISSOULA — Several spun-out semis near Lookout Pass have impacted traffic early Friday morning on Interstate 90 as road conditions worsen due to a winter storm.
The Montana Department of Transportation reports the right westbound lane on Interstate 90 remains closed approximately three miles west of Taft Overpass. The left lane reopened around 12:30 a.m. and wreckers are en route.
Road conditions for most of the region are listed as "wet/scattered wet," however Interstate 90 near the Idaho border is snow covered.
The public is asked to expect winter driving conditions and to use caution.
A Winter Weather Advisory is still in effect, including for Lookout Pass, according to the National Weather Service in Missoula.
The NWS reported that another round of snow was expected Thursday night for most of western Montana as a cold front moves across the Northern Rockies.
