MISSOULA – Missoula County Public School trustees could have their “short list” of new superintendent candidates as early as Tuesday night.
MCPS is on the hunt for a new superintendent to replace current Superintendent Mark Thane, who is retiring at the end of this school year. Thane has worked for the district his entire career, capping off that service by overseeing the massive “Smart Schools 2020″ building campaign.
The district has been using a search consultant to help find candidates, which has included recruitment from here in Montana as well.
The board will meet in executive session Tuesday night, and is expected to announce the finalists when they return to open session.
Trustees are hoping to set up interviews with the finalists, starting this coming week.
