MISSOULA — Missoula's business community was out in force Wednesday night for the annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet with special recognition to those who went above and beyond the past year.
Home Resource of Missoula, a nonprofit community sustainability center, won the "Circle of Excellence" award. It has a building materials re-use store along with job training, education, and zero waste programs.
Bill Johnston won the George Award for his endless contributions to different organizations and agencies in Missoula. While he says he's honored by the recognition, he told the crowds it's really about seeing a need and helping to find a solution to make Missoula better.
The 700 people in attendance were also inspired by keynote speaker Daymond John.
