MISSOULA — It was a big weekend for weather.

Hail, rain, gusty winds, along with thunder and lightning have impacted most parts of Western Montana.

There were dark clouds and heavy rain with scattered hail here and there on Sunday.

Over Missoula, rain impacted a portion of the afternoon -- and even putting a damper on the Western Montana Fair.

NorthWestern Energy reported several outages throughout the Bitterroot, Missoula and Arlee areas.

Flathead Electric Cooperative reported outages as well, especially in the Bigfork area.

The severe weather on Sunday caused some damage -- and scary moments as well.

LeaAnne Metcalf was driving down Brooks Street in Missoula when a tree fell, hitting her windsheild.

Metcalf said only small branch from the larger pile that fell struck her vehicle but it still did a considerable amount of damage.

The Missoula City Fire Department responded to help clear the debris and luckily no one was hurt.

Damage was also reported from the storms in the Lolo and Florence areas.
