MISSOULA — After several weeks of dry weather, followed by an unseasonably warm period which brought valley rain, western Montana finally received a fresh batch of snow on Tuesday.
Most valley locations saw a range of 1" to 3" of snow, with a few towns getting several inches more, leading to slippery roads and sidewalks for our Wednesday morning commute.
While we can expect a little snowmelt between now and Christmas Day, our Tuesday snowfall guarantees that most will wake up to a white Christmas on Friday morning.
We are expecting a sunny sky Wednesday and Thursday with no additional snow until Saturday.
