The Montana Lady Griz basketball team's home-opening series against the Southern Utah Thunderbirds has been canceled due to a positive COVID-19 test among 'Tier 1' individuals within the Thunderbird program.
The Lady Griz were set to open their conference play against the Thunderbirds on Thursday at Dahlberg Arena in Missoula. With COVID-19 scheduling, the two were scheduled to meet again on Saturday for their second conference game. Both games have been canceled and won't be made up, per Big Sky Conference policy.
The Lady Griz are scheduled to host the University of North Dakota at home on Monday at 3 p.m.
