Six die on Montana’s roads since July 6th

MISSOULA – Six people died in a series of crashes that began on Friday, bringing the total number of roadway deaths in July to 14.

The most recent crash occurred on Sunday morning when a 40-year-old Idaho man crashed his motorcycle at the Montana-Idaho border in Lincoln County.

A 55-year-old Stevensville man died in a motorcycle crash on Saturday evening near Stevensville.

A 5-year-old girl died from injuries she received in a crash involving a vehicle and a horse near Hardin on Friday.

A Columbia Falls man and a Kalispell woman died in a single-vehicle crash after colliding with a rock wall early Saturday morning near Plains. Both of the individuals were 35.

Finally, a 53-year-old Kalispell woman died on Friday after crashing her motorcycle near Libby.

None of the names of those killed have yet been released. The statewide total now stands at 78 roadway deaths this year.
