MISSOULA — Cases of COVID-19 continue to rise in Montana and across the country and over the past few days collegiate leagues have canceled or suspended their fall sports seasons.

Griz fans continue to await a decision from The University of Montana.

The Great Northwest Athletic Conference became the latest college league to suspend or cancel its fall sports season as they decided to cancel which had impacts on Montana.

The Griz were set to host Central Washington in it’s home opener on September 5th in Washington-Grizzly Stadium.

That game has officially been canceled, meaning the Grizzlies are now down to 10 games on their fall schedule.

However, the Big Sky conference or NCAA has yet to make a decision so we’ll see what changes transpire in the next couple weeks or even days.

The letter from athletic director Kent Haslam to Griz fans can be found on our website at kpax.com.

We'll continue to keep you updated on the situatuon.
