MISSOULA — The "Trail of Justice" winds its way on to the big screen this weekend, as the latest Bitterroot-based movie production makes its premiere after three years of hard work.
"Trail of Justice" is the latest production from a core group of young filmmakers in the Bitterroot who've been learning experience, and increasing their production values dramatically since they first started as teenagers.
Now known as Eagle Ridge Studios, the trio of Luke Valimont, Nick Deboer and Christian Jessop started work on the feature length film in 2017. The family-friendly movie harkens back to classic Westerns, but takes advantage of all the latest equipment and digital filmmaking tools for a very polished, independent film.
Saturday morning, the film will be featured at a red carpet screening at Hamilton's Pharaohplex Theater starting at 9:30 a.m. The screenings, which are free to show their appreciation for the community's support, will begin at 10 p.m.
