Gallatin County reports 3 additional COVID-19 related deaths

BOZEMAN — The Gallatin City-County Health Department reported on Monday that another three county residents have died from complications due to COVID-19.

A man in his 70s died in a hospital the week of Nov. 8. The two additional deaths occurred the week of Nov. 15; a woman in her 80s died in a hospital, and a man in his 80s died in a long-term care facility.

This brings the total of Gallatin County COVID-related deaths to 22.

“The Health Department staff sends our condolences to the family and friends of these neighbors of ours who were lost,” said Health Officer Matt Kelley. “We continue to ask the community for help in curbing this virus."

"We all know what we need to do - avoid gatherings, stay home as much as possible, social distance, wear a face-covering in public, wash our hands, and stay home if we’re sick. We know that this time of year that can be difficult. But those small actions will make a big difference.”

The health department said no further details would be released out of respect for the families.

Three additional COVID-19 related deaths were reported in both Yellowstone and Cascade counties on Monday. An additional death was also confirmed in Big Horn and Lewis and Clark County.

To date, numbers compiled by MTN News show a total of 705 COVID-19 related deaths in Montana.
