MISSOULA — Missoula's Community Medical Center is set to reinstitute a no visitor policy due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases.

CMC will revert to a no visitor policy for inpatients beginning Wednesday, July 1.

Exceptions can be made for pediatrics, women and newborns, NICU patients, end of life patients and for cognitive issues or developmental delays

A hospital spokesperson notes that the outpatient visitor policy will remain the same.

No visitors or support people will be allowed unless the patient has cognitive issues, developmental delays, mobility issues or they have an appointment at Community Cancer Care & Prevention.

Missoula's Saint Patrick Hospital made a similar announcement on Monday.

The Missoula City-County Health Department reported 45 active COVID-19 cases as of Monday, bringing Missoula's cumulative case total to 90.

Local health officials also report they are dealing with 265 close contacts to those cases.
